GM Performance Parts introduces the supercharger kit for the Pontiac Vibe*.
Front and center in the Vibe supercharger kit is an Eaton Roots-type blower
that feeds the 1.8L engine with 7.5 lbs. of boost. That equates to an increase in
horsepower up to 30%, pushing the power numbers as high as 170hp at
6,800 rpm. Torque is boosted up to 18% v. stock trim and propels the Vibe to
an exhilarating 150lb.ft. at 4,600 rpm. That’s almost 20lb.ft. more torque than
the Vibe GT! The best feature of the Eaton Roots-type supercharger, besides
it’s high output, is that power is available across the entire RPM range, greatly
reducing the “lag” usually found in turbocharger kits. Meaning you feel the
rush the second you mash the gas.
The GM Performance Parts supercharger kit is factory engineered and
extensively tested to rigorous GM standards on performance and durability.
And because the unit isn’t offered as a factory option, you’ll have to get yours
through GM Performance Parts from your local Pontiac dealership. Make sure
you get the most out of the standard 3 year/36,000 mile warranty and your
connection to expert GM service by having the installation done at the
dealership. For all you DIY-ers who want to install it on your own, the
warranty is 12 months on parts.
Once you get the go, get the show! In addition to the supercharger, customize
your Vibe with the optional GM Accessories Vibe Sport Package. The package
includes front and rear fascias, side rocker extensions and two spoilers,
adding the same high level of performance to the looks of your Vibe as the
supercharger does for the engine. The right choice for genuine GM
