Let's get this straight: You're looking for more power for your 1996 - 1999 Light duty truck with a 350R engine in it. GM Performance Parts has the answer for you with this new H.P. HT383E direct replacement engine. This engine is designed to replace your current 350R engine with increased horsepower and torque with out any of the hassle.

No modifications to the computer are needed. The HP HT383E a long block complete engine assembly that delivers 340 horsepower and 435 lb.-ft of torque at a value-driven price.

The bottom end has a 383 stroker forged steel crankshaft, heavy-duty rods, and cast aluminum pistons. The block is cast iron with 4-bolt min caps, and it's up to the task of making lots of power for years to come.

The brand new 383E makes a great alternative to the standard 350R engine your truck came with.

America's favorite high performance cast iron small-block cylinder head offers big power and bigger value. The Vortec cylinder head's fast burn combustion chamber and high velocity ports combine to produce big horsepower out of the box. Heads come completely assembled with valves, springs, retainers, and 3/8" rocker studs. Requires the use of self aligning rocker arms.
