The new GM Performance Parts Transmission Adapter Kit is a specially designed kit that enables the enthusiast to take advantage of the latest in transmission technology in one easy step. Late model transmission technology includes greater horsepower and torque capability as well as improved efficiency through both design and manufacturing improvements. This kit has been engineered to allow late model 4L65-E and 4L70-E transmissions to be utilized with older Generation I and Generation II small block engines that utilize a one piece rear main seal design, such as the Ram Jet 350 and the full lineup of small block crate engines in the GM Performance Parts arsenal. This complete kit provides all the required components including hardware, dowels, flexplate, spacer, and dust shield. There are no additional specialized or custom items required, and the kit is completely bolt in with no modifications necessary. It also allows for a lower cost 300mm production style torque converter, or aftermarket equivalent, to be utilized.
